Process and Compliance Quality Manager

Microcomponent manufacturer in Ticino is seeking to fill a new position which will be key to our continuing growth and success.  This is a permanent position that starts with a specific project and transitions to a key management position.

They are looking for a 

PROCESS AND COMPLIANCE QUALITY MANAGER


OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

The successful candidate will enter the Company as an “ERP Implementation Project Manager” with the critical responsibility to be the internal responsible collaborating with our staff and an external consulting firm to implement a new ERP system. 
Initially acting as the internal project manager of this strategically critical project, this position will:

Review/analyze existing business processes and documentation
Work closely with staff and management to understand how the business operates in the real world (not only on paper)  
Review/analyze opportunities to align/improve/simplify existing processes and documentation
- To ensure smooth transition to new ERP system
- To migrate processes to the new ERP that bring value and eliminate those that do not
- To improve Quality System to be well-positioned to upgrade in the future
Lead an effective implementation over a 9-12 month period that:
- Recognizes the needs of the various system users
- Overcomes obstacles and resistance
- Results in a satisfied team empowered with tools to work better/smarter/faster

 

Following a successful ERP implementation, this individual should have gained the experience and insights to effectively transition to the role of “Process and Compliance Manager”.  
This will be a permanent position with the following responsibilities:
- Strive to build quality into everything the Company does
- Lead and drive implementation of Quality and compliance processes
- Champion continuous improvement efforts relating to customer satisfaction, operational efficiency and operating margins
- Coordinate Quality and Compliance activities between our global production sites
Ensure policies, procedures and processes of the company are in compliance with laws, regulations and ISO standards
- Proactively manage new or evolving regulatory requirements relating to company and clients (such as REACH/RoHS, Conflict Minerals, etc)
- Work with management team to incorporate quality, regulatory and compliance issues into strategic planning
- Eventual implementation of new ISO standards and environmental policies  


REQUIREMENTS

To support the initial ERP implementation, IT/database experience is a plus but not mandatory
The abilities to assimilate information, analyze needs, align processes and plan are considered more important and will be essential to transition to the ongoing responsibilities of “Process and Compliance Manager”

They are seeking someone with more “all round” skills who is capable of adapting to the exigencies of a small but evolving company. 

Specific requirements include:
- Language:  English fluency and Italian mandatory (French and German a plus)
- 5-7 years experience
- Experience in Quality (Lean, Six Sigma and Process Improvement a major plus)
- Experience in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Production; and/or Quality a plus
- Excellent verbal and written comprehension and communication skills
- IT oriented and capable of becoming an ERP super user
- Highly proficient in MSOffice
- Willing to travel to other production sites for short periods and clients world-wide when necessary

ADDITIONAL ATTRIBUTES

Understanding of basic accounting, financial measures and metrics to support financial aspects of ERP system
Program management skills, including Gantt, resource planning, and tracking
Experience with quality/manufacturing audits of medical components/products
